Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, we use proprietary frameworks, such as ExactTalent®, to provide specialized workforce solutions, including permanent placement and contract staffing, across industries such as IT and Healthcare. Simultaneously, our IT and Business Services division offers expert solutions in Software Development, Data & Analytics, and IT Operations, helping organizations worldwide drive digital transformation, improve efficiency, and maintain a competitive edge.

About the Opportunity

The Module Developer, part of the Professional Services team, is responsible for configuring and building software modules that power customers’ day-to-day government operations. Working closely with Implementation Consultants and Implementation Analysts, you will translate customer requirements and business workflows into accurate, reliable, and high-quality module configurations using our client’s proprietary toolset.

This role requires more than the ability to configure software. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, approaches problems methodically, and thoroughly tests and validates configurations before handoff. You will play a critical role in improving the quality and reliability of module delivery by identifying potential issues early, incorporating feedback, and continuously refining your approach to meet evolving business and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and configure software modules using a proprietary configuration tool, translating requirements and specifications into accurate, functional solutions.
  • Review and interpret requirements documentation, workflow specifications, and customer-specific business rules to ensure configurations align with intended functionality and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with Implementation Consultants and Implementation Analysts to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and identify potential risks or issues before they affect delivery.
  • Take ownership of assigned builds from initial configuration through validation and handoff, proactively addressing issues and following through until they are resolved.
  • Perform thorough self-QA and functional testing of completed configurations, troubleshooting unexpected behavior and validating that all requirements are met before handoff.
  • Independently investigate configuration issues by testing, researching, and troubleshooting potential causes before escalating, and provide clear details on findings and attempted solutions when additional support is needed.
  • Apply knowledge of HTML and SQL, where appropriate, to support advanced configuration, custom logic, and data-driven field behavior.
  • Maintain clear documentation of configuration decisions, testing results, build notes, and identified issues to support consistency, troubleshooting, and future updates.
  • Manage multiple concurrent module builds while maintaining high standards for accuracy, reliability, and turnaround time.
  • Respond constructively to feedback, apply direction to improve work quality, and demonstrate a willingness to adjust established approaches when better solutions are identified.
  • Identify opportunities to improve build standards, templates, workflows, and internal processes, contributing practical recommendations that strengthen delivery quality and team efficiency.
  • Partner with Product, Support, and Implementation teams to stay current on platform updates, new features, and evolving configuration capabilities.

Required & Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in software configuration, technical implementation, SaaS module development, or a similar technical delivery role.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate written requirements and business workflows into accurate, functional system configurations.
  • Demonstrated ability to test, troubleshoot, and resolve technical or configuration issues systematically, using research and independent problem-solving before escalating.
  • A strong sense of accountability and ownership, with a commitment to delivering complete, reliable work and following issues through to resolution.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, anticipate potential issues, and validate work thoroughly before considering a task complete.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document findings, explain technical issues, and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Receptiveness to constructive feedback and a demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve work quality and processes.
  • Ability to learn new tools, technologies, and workflows quickly in a changing environment.

Preferred

  • Experience working with proprietary SaaS configuration platforms or low-code/no-code development tools.
  • Working knowledge of HTML.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data concepts, including field mapping, conditional logic, and data validation.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Wrike, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
